I guess I really don’t get into the MLB draft. Seems to me there isn’t much to get excited for.
Don’t get me wrong, I caught as many rounds as I could and was happy to see Eric Arnett become a Milwaukee Brewer. He had a great career at Indiana, as well as being the only known Brewer on Twitter.
Besides that, I pay little mind to the rest of the events. My reasoning is simple and realistic, summed up in a short quote by Matthew Strader that says it all.
“I watched a college baseball player drafted by the Brewers spend all his money on a stereo for his Geo Metro, and end up selling cars for his father.”
I equate it to buying a lottery ticket and going home to discuss all the wonderful things you will do when you win.
I have better things to do.
